Goan monsoon

Moored on the Nerul river, Goa

The monsoons are always a time of delight, the heavy rains bringing in much needed relief from the sweltering heat. Its is also the time for most of the fishermen to sit back and take a breather from the hard work they put in. Their moored boats are seen here bobbing about in the Nerul river. The fishermen themselves are seen relaxing under the bridge trying to catch fish with rods.

Jovina and I were glad to be a part of this whole spectacle sitting on the banks of the river devouring some good Goan food. We watched the dark clouds roll in bringing some heavy rain with it.

This is a part of the “Mission 365+1” project.
